The third Bf 109, first flown in June 1937. Jumo 210 engine, two 7.92-mm machine guns. Prototype for the Bf 109A batch which was tested in the Spanish Civil War. The V3 itself and the V4 arrived in Cádiz in December 1936. Marked 6-2, the V3 crashed taking off at Cáceres on 11 February 1937. Pilot Lt Paul Rehahn was killed. Photo from: Imperial War Museums
