Seen here on Friday, the first of the three public day's of the Farnborough Airshow. On Sunday she crashed while being flown by Ian Williamson who was injuried, but made a full recovery. Can now be seen fully restored (how did they do that!) at the RAF Museum Hendon.

Amazingly the pilot of this aircraft was thrown clear and escaped with cuts and bruises. It is remarkable that, after many years, enough of this wreckage was able to be assembled into the static restoration at the Royal Air Force Museum Hendon, as K2227.

'K2227' was reduced to a heap of rubble in a crash at Farnborough in 1964, but has been marvelously restored. It was originally a factory demonstrator, G-ABBB. The civil registration was cancelled in 1961, but the Shuttleworth Collection had a permit to fly vintage aircraft unregistered.
