USN aircraft were gathered at Wigram prior to their deployment by air to McMurdo, Antarctica during Operation Deep Freeze II. 56505 returned to regular USN service before being sold in the civil market. Originally built for the USAF as C-54G 45-614 and later became N708Z. Cancelled as expired on 6 October 2017 having been scrapped at Douglas/GA in 2005.

Built for the USAF as C-54D 42-72560 and flew on the Berlin Air Lift as such. In post-1945 USN service it was assigned to the 1958 'Operation Deep Freeze' in Antarctica which may have been when it acquired the belly mounted device. Retired to MASDC in 1966 then registered as N67041 in 1975 and converted to aerial firefighting tanker. Retired again in 1989 and put on display, with original USAF livery and serial, at Travis AFB (KSUU).

Invicta operated this ex US Navy Skymaster from April 1966 to May 1968. Passengers board the aircraft in this dusk time exposure. They will travel on an inclusive tour holiday flight to the Spanish sun.
