Delivered to RAN 29/05/73 arriving Nowra NSW 07/06/73. Later coded '800'. Fitted with specialised electronic equipment between 1978 and 1980 and subsequently used for electronic countermeasures training. Initially operated by 851 Squadron and transferred to 723 Squadron 31/08/84. Decommissioned 23/06/00 and ferried East Sale for storage/sale 26/06/00. The logistics of moving such a large aircraft proved too much and N15-709 was broken up in 10/2019. On 23/10/2019 the forward fuselage plus a 2-metre section of the centre fuselage containing the EWTS arrived at FAAM Nowra

Delivered new 3rd Aug 1973 and withdrawn from use YMES (East Sale) June 2000 with TT 12788 hours and 12388 cycles on the clock. Scrapped Apr 2001

Delivered to the Royal Australian Navy as N16-709 in 1973. To TAG Aviation as 3C-QQP then to Horizon Airlines in 2001. Preserved at the Australian Aviation Museum at Bankstown from 2004.

N15-709 was sold on the civil market in 2001 and ferried to the UK as 3C-QQP. It was then bought by Horizon Airlines and ferried back to Australia. Plans to fit a large cargo came to an nought when Horizon Airlines failed in October 2003. N15-709 ended up at the Australian Aviation Museum, Bankstown Airport as a static display.

This HS748 N15-709 was built in 1973 it was also registered as 3C-QQP it is now preserved at Bankstown Airport NSW.
