ex D-ADIM. To N45908 by 1978

Delivered to Swissair as HB-IDA in 1960. To Sudflug as D-ADIM then to Atlantis in 1968 and Thai Airways International as HS-TGW in 1973. Sold as N45908 and converted to a DC-8-33(F) freighter then reregistered as N712UA in 1978. Back to N45908 in 1979 and used by various operators. To Aeromar as HI-435 in 1974 then to LAC Colombia as HK-3178X in 1985. Withdrawn from use at Medellin, Colombia in 1992. Still there in 2005. Later scrapped.

D-ADIM is taxiing to runway 25 for take-off. This airframe was noted several times with Südflug at Riem in spring and summer 1968 (23 May, 25 June, 30 August). It had also been seen here as HB-IDA with Swissair on 31 July 1967 and would return as D-ADIM with Atlantis on 21 April 1969 and 19 April 1970.

Delivered on 22 April 1960 and the crowd of spectators suggests this as a first visit - possibly even of Swissair itself. Converted to -33 then later transferred to Sudflug as D-ADIM in 1968. Modified to freight configuration for United Air Carriers in 1978 as N712UA then withdrawn as HK-3178X at Medellin (SKMD) in 1992 and scrapped.
