Built for the RCAF as 23367 in 1954. Stored at Mountain View in 1964. Sold and moved to Moncton, NB in 1970. To Flight Systems as N92402 in 1976 and trucked to Mojave, CA. Reregistered as N86FS in 1977. Used as a target tug. Sold in 2003 and converted to a warbird marked as 25222. Destroyed in a fatal crash on takeoff at Hickory, NC in 2006.

Beautifull restored Sabre N86FS was built in 1954 under license by Canadair as a Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk 5 and delivered as 23367 to the RCAF - Royal Canadian Air Force. Painted in USAF markings it was a well known participant in the airshow circuit until 24 July 2006 when the aircraft was destroyed in a take-off incident at Hickory Regional Airport (NC)

Built in 1954 by Canadair as a CL-13A Sabre 5 for the RCAF, 23367. Seen here at Mojave flying for Tracor Flight Systems Inc. Later bought by Flying Fossils Llc and ferried to Hickory Regional Airport, North Carolina. Painted in colourful USAF markings for the air show circuit. Destroyed in a sadly fatal takeoff accident at Hickory, en route for Oshkosh, on 24 July 2006, when a rejected takeoff led to runway overrun, collision with fixed objects and a deadly fire.

Became a warbird but was destroyed in a takeoff accident at Hickery, North Carolina, on July 24, 2006. Pilot killed.

An ex-R. Canadian AF Sabre. I believe the registration N86FS was subsequently used by a second F-86 of Flight Systems.
