This lovely old Curtis Commando C-46, was built in 1945 as 43-47328 for the United States Army Air Forces, she saw further service with the USAF, Chinese Air Force, & the Taiwanese Air Force before going to the Japanese Air Self Defence Force in 1960. It has been preserved in stunning condition at Iruma Air Base, Saitama Prefecture.

Distant shot, aircraft parked far away from the show area. This C-46 is ex USAF 43-47328, and it was delivered to the JASDF in December 1959. It was withdrawn from use on 11 March 1978 and had been placed on display at Iruma Air Base by 1984.
