Now preserved at the Al Mahatta Museum, Sharjah, UAE., painted in period Gulf Aviation livery and wearing the false registration "G-AMZZ".

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-92452 then to the RAF as FZ669 in 1944. To the RCAF as a Dakota 3N in 1946. Modified to a Dakota 3NRO and reserialled as 12943 in 1970. To C-GCXE in 1975, HH-CMG in 1984, HI-502 in 1987 and N688EA in 1993. Was registered with serial 12943 which was its Canadian serial not its c/n. Preserved at the Sharjah Aviation Museum by 2003. Initially marked as G-DJKP then later G-AMZZ.

This is N688EA falsely painted as Gulf Aviation G-AMZZ. The sign at the museum describes the history of the original G-AMZZ, c/n 33340. There is another fake G-AMZZ (c/n 25806) in the Technical museum in Kuwait. Unfortunately I missed that one on an unexpected work trip to Kuwait.

Aero Trades titles showing. Aero Trades was a Canadian operator which sold the aircraft in 1984. Was then on the Haitian and Dominican Republic registers before being withdrawn from use at Sanford in 1989. Now at the Sharjah Aviation Museum.
