Recently delivered when pictured (February 10, 1978), this DC-10 Luxury Liner flew it's last revenue flight with American Airlines on October 14, 2000. Leased to Hawaiian Airlines March 2001 - January 2003, the airliner was stored and sold to FedEx two months later. By January 2005, it was converted to an MD-10F and put into service as N562FE. Finally retired in 2021, the aircraft is stored at Victorville, CA at the time of uploading.

Delivered new 10th Feb 1978 and transferred to Hawaiian Airlines 15th March 2001. Returned to American 13th Jan 2003 and stored pending conversion to freighter for FedEx. Registered to FedEx as N562FE 6th Aug 2004

Hawaiian Airlines operated this DC-10 in 2001 and 2002 as N126AA. It was then placed in storage at Mojave and bought up by Fedex for its MD10 conversion project. Its new Fedex registration, N562FE was already applied....... with tape.
