Originally built as UC-45F 44-47377 and later re-manufactured as C-45G 51-11740. Converted to C-45H and sold onto the civilian market as N9944Z in 1965. Later conversion to a PAC Aero Tradewind was not completed and the aircraft was sold to Volpar, completed as a Volpar Turboliner and registered N349V. Flown by several operators since then including Priority Air Transport, Caribbean Island Airways, Troy Air, Kalitta Air Services and Jackson MS. based Jim Hankins Air Service. Re-registered N404TH in 1979 and N404CK in 1990. Operating in Alaska with Northern Aviation/TransNorthern since 2010.

Remanufactured by Beech from C-45F 44-47377 c/n 7771 to C-45G 51-11740 for the USAF in 1953. Later modified to a C-45H. To N9944Z in 1965. To N349V and converted to a Volpar Turboliner Trigear with extended fuselage and powered by 755-hp Garrett TPE331 turboprop engines. To N404TH in 1979 and N404CK in 1990. Still current in 2020.

Delivered to the USAF in 1953 as a re-manufactured C-45F then civilianized and converted to tri-gear Volpar Turboliner as here. Current and Anchorage based in 2022.
