Prestwick was used quite a lot for Concorde training around that time, although it was usually British Airways ones. There were two prototypes, then two pre-production aircraft. On its first visit to Prestwick, this is the second pre-production one, 102, built at Toulouse. First Concorde to fly to the United States Dallas, Texas. In 1976 it was retired from development flying and put on public display at Orly Airport, Paris. It was painted in British Airways colours on the other side.

The second of four pre-production Concordes, first flew in January 1973. The right side is in British Airways colours, and the left side was in partial Air France colours. Hopefully the museum will one day be able to finish the paintwork.

The museum in Hermeskeil has a replica, but the real Concorde 02 was preserved near Orly. The Musée Delta in Athis-Mons was closed due to tramway construction works when I took this photograph, but it has since reopened. The aicraft is wearing a British Airways livery on the starboard side only as she did in 1974. The museum's Mirage IIIs lie in the foreground.
