The little Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri (hummingbird), with intermeshing rotors, was one of the first practical helicopters. It was intended for naval use. On another photo, Anton Flettner shows this airframe to Hitler, Speer and other high-ranking Nazis, including Himmler, whom he knew personally, although his wife was Jewish.
