Real serial 0009, this F-100F has been preserved in this park for many years. Preserved at Hsinchu initially with marks as shown, moved here at some point between Summer 2002 and Summer 2007.

On display at the naval aviation museum is the frame of this Vought V-65F Corsair, ex R-63.

When on this trip, I had only vague indications of an F-100 being part of the collection here, and it wasn't visibile on satellite imagery at the time (it still isn't very conspicuous). I was thrilled to actually find it, in the dark (this is a long exposure) behind a shubbery. Its real serial was 0009, with true alternate 86980 from MDAP serial 58-6980.

Hiding in the bushes in the dark, but not doing any harm. It is even disguised though, having been serial 0009 with alternate 86980 during its operational ROCAF life. Preserved at Hsinchu initially with marks as shown, moved here at some point between Summer 2002 and Summer 2007.

The little Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri (hummingbird), with intermeshing rotors, was one of the first practical helicopters. It was intended for naval use. On another photo, Anton Flettner shows this airframe to Hitler, Speer and other high-ranking Nazis, including Himmler, whom he knew personally, although his wife was Jewish.

Arriving to collect a French Army rugby team who had played their Irish counterparts at the weekend, this was the first visit of the type to Dublin.
