Became G-AYNL on 10 December 1970, and written off on 27 December 1971 in a take-off accident at Wilstead, Bedfordshire. Registration cancelled on 10 February 1972 as destroyed.

My interest in general aviation was sparked by a first visit to this airport several years earlier, at the age of 15, when myself and some school friends cycled here from Hemel Hempstead via Radlett (Handley Page) on the way down and Leavesden on the way back - a distance of about 25 miles. What fun!
