Supporting law enforcement duties, the helicopters are sometimes also called for rescue missions (SAR). As such, one AS332 is usually deployed to Barley Flat's during the day, an operating base in the mountains northeast of LA. However, being located at 5'600 ft AMSL, the weather did not permit the heli to reach the base the day this picture was taken, and therefore, it diverted to Brackett Field instead, standing-by from there.
