Delivered new 10th Sep 1981 and re-registered N807US Nov 1987, then merged into USAir Apr 1988

On 18 June 2004 this McDonnell Douglas MD-82 was taken up in the register of Swaziland on behalf of JetAfrica and visited Rotterdam six days later as 3D-MDJ in Rwandair Express colours. The aircraft was officialy owned by Romanian company Acvila Air (as a sidenote, MDJ was the official three letter ICAO code for Acvila Air) During an inspection by the local authorities several technical problems and paperwork issues were found and the aircraft was grounded until things were sorted out.

With PSA since September 10, 1981, this MD-80 was sold and leased back in 1986. It was re-registered N807US in 1987 in preparation for the official merger with US Air in 1988. The airliner was returned to the lessor in October 2001 and leased to the US Marshals Service a month later. To Rwandair Express as 3D-MDJ in June 2004, it has since been withdrawn and stored.

This former USAir MD-80 is one of several aircraft operated by the United States Marshals Service for deportation flights of illegal immigrants.
