On 27 November 1992, a failed coup d'etat attempt was made in Venezuela, with involvement from the air force on both sides. Twenty years later, a commemoration parade was organised in which this Su-30 would participate, among many other aircraft. This picture was made during one of the rehearsals for the air parade, when 5790 returned to base.

Rehearsing for the commemoration parade of the 27 November 1992 coup attempt, 5790 was one of many Su-30s flying that day. Venezuelan air force serials are allocated more or less randomly.
