Ex American Airlines N5043. Later with Cascade Airways as N218CA and then a whole bunch of odds & ends after that until retired circa 2002 as TG-TJF. When on my first visit to Miami in March 1976, I flew Miami-Nassau on this aircraft (in the old livery).

In the earlier Bahamasair livery. I had flown Miami-Nassau on this a/c back in March 1976.

Delivered to American Airlines as N5043 in 1966. To Out Island Airways as VP-BDJ and merged into Bahamasair in 1973. Reregistered as C6-BDJ in 1975. To N218CA in 1984 to and Cascade Airways in 1985. To G-BSXK in 1990 but not taken up then to Zircon Aviation as N97JF in 1991. To Tikal Jets as TG-TJF in 1994. Withdrawn from use at Guatemala City around 2002 and later scrapped.

Recently purchased from AA, this Bahamasair 1-11 still carries the OIA on the fin from a previous lease. Other regns were N5043, C6-BDJ, N218CA, G-BSYK and TG-TJF. Seen about to touch down on runway 9R at MIA.

Climbing out of MIA, this 1-11 was delivered new to AA in late 1966 as N5043. Other regns carried were VP-BDJ, N218CA, G-BSXK and TG-TJF.

Seen soon after repaint into the latest c/s, this 1-11 was ex N5043 of American and returned to the US register in 10.84 as N218CA, joining Cascade Airways in Seattle. Ended up with Tikal Jets as TG-TJF in 6.94, wfu at Guatemala City 1.03 and later b/u. Sister-ship C6-BDP followed the same path through life (AA/Bahamasair/Cascade/Tikal)
