Our company Argosy looking in need of a good repaint which it eventually did into Elan colours. This plane did the overnight Shannon service. I got a jump seat flight on it. We had to climb up a ladder to get on the flight deck. On the way to Shannon we had St Elmo's Fire on the wind screen. Delivered to Riddle Airlines as N6502R on 5 Jan 1961. It was very interesting for me to be able to compare and contrast this spacious Argosy cockpit with that of a cramped Vulcan a few minutes later. Thanks to the volunteers at the EMA Aeropark for giving access, it was exceedingly interesting.

Many interesting planes to be seen at this mueum. The Argosy was the top for me and I spent a long time taking many details shots of this wonderful old workhorse.

First flown as G-1-7 and delivered to Riddle Airlines as N6502R in 1.61, this Argosy passed to Capitol, Zantop and then Universal as N895U. In 2.72 she returned to the UK for Sagittair (which earlier flew Beech 18s from Heathrow) but they soon closed down and the aircraft is seen here having been acquired by Air Bridge Carriers.
