Delivered to Northwest Airlines as NC14260 in 1934. Impressed into the USAAF as C-36A 42-56638 in 1942. Sold as NC14260 in 1944. To the Honduras Air Force as 104 in 1953. Registered as N4963C in 1962. To the museum 1977. Repainted into its original Northwest Airlines colours as NC14260 by 2011.

The aircraft is the oldest surviving Lockheed twin-engined airliner. Delivered new to Northwest Airlines as NC14260 in 12.34. Impressed by the USAAF in WW2 as UC-36A 42-56638. Registered N4963C post-war. Later restored in NWAL colours.

This is the less famous Lockheed Electra, the 10 not the 188 version and is perhaps most well known as the aircraft in which Amelia Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific in 1937. This particualr example is now on display at the wonderful Pima Air & Space museum.
