The aircraft first flew in September 1972. Written off on January 26, 1974 when it crashed during takeoff from Izmir. Soon after becoming airborne, the aircraft yawed left and pitched nose down. It contacted the ground and struck a drainage ditch, skidded, disintergated and caught fire. 66 out of 73 POB unfortunately did not survive. The probable cause was determined to be a stall on takeoff due to over rotation and frost accretion on the wings. Photo from Harm Reinders
