The future didn't look bright for the first production F 28.

First flight January 16th 1969 as PH-ZAD, and delivered new as the first of 5 ordered F.28s for Braathens SAFE in March 3rd 1969. Given the name "Olav Kyrre" in 1971. October 1st 1986 I-TIAP Unifly Express. May 1988 I-TIAP Alinord (leased). November 1995 N37RT, December 1995 OB-1636 Aero Continente. 2006 Norsk Luftfartsmuseum bought the aircraft in Peru and brought it back home by sea. It is painted in the 1970's Braathens livery, and on display at the musum in Bodø since 09-2011. It is seen taxing for a rwy 24 departure, passing the tail of Scanex King Air C90 LN-KCR wich was crashed in 1987.

Originally delivered May 11, 1976 to Garuda Indonesia as PK-GVU christened Kamundan, this F-28 was sold back to Fokker in June 1984. Re-delivered to Piedmont Airlines the following December as N298N, it was registered N451US when the airline merged with US Air in 1989. Time Air registered the aircraft C-FJRI in 1991, merging into Canadian Partner in 1993 when Canadian Airlines consolidated their regional partners. After another merger into Air Canada Regional in 2001 as Air Canada took over Canadian Airlines, C-FJRI was withdrawn circa 2002 and stored at Saskatoon, SK airport.

Delivered to the Netherlands Government as PH-PBX in 1972. To Rajawali Air Transport as PK-RJW in 1996 then to Ekspres Air in 2003 and Sky One Air as ZS-PWM in 2007. Withdrawn from use at Mmabatho by 2017. Still there in 2020.

LN-SUY was delivered to Braathens SAFE four months before this photo was taken. Given the name Sverre Sigurdsson in 1972 a few months before it crashed on approach to Oslo-Fornebu 23 December that year. Photographer unknown
