The prototype Britannia displaying at Farnborough in 1953 wearing the markings of BOAC. First flew 16 August 1952. To 7708M at RAF St Athan in October 1960 for ground instruction and scrapped there in June 1968.

The prototype Bristol Britannia is towed out of Filton's "Brabazon Hangar" where it has just been completed. After ground running tests, the aircraft made the type's maiden flight on 16 August 1952. Obtained from Bristol in the 1950s.
