Ameristar Jet Charter began in 1991 as an air-taxi carrier with a Lear Jet and a Beech King Air. They acquired more aircraft, including Falcon jets before expanding into Cargo , passenger and charter operations with lager aircraft (737s and DC-9s) after 2000. This Lear Jet was with the company from January 1996 until reportedly withdrawn a couple of weeks after this photo was taken. The aircraft went to West-MEC (Western Maricopa Education Center) in Glendale, AZ as an instructional airframe by 2017.

Registered as N131CA in 1973. To N181CA in 1984, N106MC in 1987, N57BC in 1994 and N277TW in 1996. To Western Maricopa Education Center Aviation School, Glendale, AZ as a ground trainer in 2016.
