Delivered to the RCAF as 23141 in 1954. To the Luftwaffe as 931 with code BB-131 in 1957. Previously at Delmenhorst. Preserved at Dusseldorf from 1982 with fake code JA-102. Moved to Marl by 1985 then displayed unmarked in Bochum from 1988.

Last active as BB-131 with the Luftwaffe in January 1960, this Sabre was first taken on charge by the RCAF in March 1954. It went to Germany in September 1957 and was preserved at various locations until arriving in Bochum in late 1988. Of the different colour schemes it got here, the pink one was probably the ugliest, and this one the dullest - but at least it survived.

I see with no little regret that this preserved Sabre 5 carried much more interesting paint schemes in the past.
