Delivered to BOAC in 1969 and seen here between flights shortly after the merger that formed British Airways. Acquired by the Royal Air Force in 1981, the aircraft was stored at RAF Abingdon until broken up in 1987.

The airframe was acquired by the MOD for possible air tanker conversion but it was never converted and was dismantled for spares at Abingdon in August 1993, some major sections were trucked to Bristol Filton for research into aging airframe deterioration and these were in turn scrapped in 1996.

Delivered to BOAC as G-ASGR in 1969. Merged into British Airways in 1974. To the RAF as ZD243 in 1981 and stored at Abingdon. Dismantled and moved by road to Filton in 1992. Sections removed to study airframe deterioration. Remains scrapped in 1993.

Taken at Nadi when reboarding after a transit stop whilst en route from Los Angeles via Honolulu and Fiji to Sydney. Total trans Pacific flying time was 15 hours 33 minutes. G-ASGR served BOAC/BA from May 1969 until sale to the RAF in May 1981.
