Former Royal Canadian Air Force North Star 17502 was struck off strength in 1966 and sold to Trans Florida Aviation. Registered CF-UXA to Canadian subsidiary Cavalier Aviation, the aircraft was one of two North Stars (CF-UXB the other) operated by Air Caicos on freight services from Florida to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Later with Air Turks, it flew the last North Star commercial flight when time ran out on the engines June 19, 1975 and the aircraft was scrapped in Sarasota, FL .

The unforgettable sight of a DC-4 taxiing to the soundtrack of a Lancaster! This Argonaut was built in 1947 and served the RCAF till 1966. Here on one of her last ever journeys, with the Air Turks "AT" logo on the fin, she was stored at Sarasota soon after this slide was captured and sadly broken up during 1976
