With its titles stripped, the "Spirit of Yellowknife" sits outside the Canadian North hangar awaiting her fate. Allegedly it is undergoing sale to a carrier in South America where it will live out its final days. Originally delivered to Dome Petroleum in 1980, this 737 spent its whole life in Canada. This was the final 737-200 to operate in Western Canada and closes the chapter on over 40 years of 737-200 Jet service to The North.

Canadian North, a subsidiary established in 1989, would use this aircraft along with several other combi 737s to fly into northern communities with their own titles. The 737 is still current with Canadian North at the time of uploading - There's no jet replacement of this size yet that can operate from gravel runways.

Pacific Western bought this Combie from Dome Petroleum in the summer of 1984. It would take until 1989 before the 737 got a complete color scheme with Canadian Airlines.

Dome Petroleum 737 delivered new on April 22, 1980 for their oil operations. Sold to Pacific Western Airlines June 1984 and still in Canada with Canadian North at the time of uploading (2017).
