The air base of Byaroza in today's Belarus was home of the 927 istrebitelnyy aviatsionnyy polk (927 iap) which deployed from here to Afghanistan in 1983-1984. The regiment and its MiG-29s were transferred to Belarusian control when the Soviet-Union broke-up in 1992. A park on Lenin Street has three aircraft on display, one of them being this Mi-24P, which was first seen here in January 2010.
