In July 1954 A94-901 was the first Sabre to enter RAAF service. It was the second Avon Sabre built following the prototype and served with various squadrons. From 1961 to 1965 it was part of the 76 Sqdn 'Black Panthers' aerobatic team based at RAAF Williamtown and was struck off charge in 1966, then used as a gate guardian at Fishermans Bend. After being displayed at the Mildura Warbirds Museum, Vic, it was externally restored by Hawker de Havilland at Bankstown, moving to HARS in late 2006

CAC 'Avon Sabre', A94-901 served with various RAAF Squadrons and was part of the 76 Squadron RAAF 'Black Panthers' Aerobatic Team from 1961 to 1965 based at Williamtown (76 on the tailplabne). Owned by Boeing de Havilland Collection, 901 is on permanent loan to the HARS Collection Shellharbour, Wollongong NSW Australia.

Built as a Mk 30, this was the first production Avon-Sabre for the RAAF, delivered to 1 AD on 19 August 1954. Allocated to ARDU for test-flying, then squadron service with various units including 76 Squadron's Black Panthers aerobatic team. Converted to Mk 31 status with '6-3' fixed leading edge wing. Retired in December 1966 & scheduled to be converted to components, but rescued and displayed at the Mildura Warbirds Museum for many years. Donated to Bankstown Aviation Museum 1999 & passed on to HARS 2006
