Originally registered new in 1955 to Bush Pilots Airways, this Autocar became VH-WRH in 1960. In December 1968 it was re-registered VH-EOI, owned by the legendary Sid Marshall. De-registered in May 1975 when Sid died, it was returned to the Register in December 1976. Currently owned by my good friends Jeff and Pat from Broken Hill, it has just undergone a lengthy rebuild. I well remember a lovely evening flight in it at Charters Towers, back in 2001. Seen here at the AAAA Auster Rally.

VH-EOI was rebuilt by Marshall Airways from VH-WRH, which had been withdrawn from use in 1965. It was registered in 1968 and used for joy flights from Bankstown, usually with Ron Gower at the controls. Gower had been a pilot since the 1930s.

This Autocar was originally registered VH-WRH in Dec 1968 was re-registered as VH-EOI this photograph was taken at the Meningie Air Show.

Another Auster built in the United Kingdom in 1955 and first entered the Australian Register on the 12th. December 1968. As VH-WRH It was re-registered as VH-EOI It is currently located at Wentworth NSW.

Ex VH-WRH and before that VH-BPD, VH-EOI received its third Australian identity in December 1968. It had been off the register for several years during which time -WRH had been reallocated.
