Kittyhawk I AK752 served in the RCAF and received Canadian serial 1028. Found on a farm in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1975, it was restored by Col Pay, becoming the first warbird P-40 in Australia as VH-KTH. It was sold to Montana collector James Smith in 1994, and is still airworthy but rarely seen. Although it wore its proper Canadian markings in Australia, it now has a Flying Tigers sharkmouth with its construction number painted on the tailfin.

Photograph taken at the Ballarat air show in 1990. This Kittyhawk was originally order for the RAF registered AK752 in 1940. But ended up serving with the Canadian Air Force delivered on 9th. October 1941.

VH-KTH was ex Canadian air force restored from an airframe buried on a farm in Alberta in 1952. It was registered in Australia in December 1989 and exported to the US as N440PE in July 1994. The markings worn in Australia were original RCAF World War II markings.
