Classic DC-10 in the Saul Bass designed colors with small titles, N1809U was with United Airlines March 1982 - Aug 1997. Sold to FedEx (N370FE), it was converted it to a freighter (and later a MD-10 in 2003). On October 28, 2016 the left main gear collapsed on landing at Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Florida due to undetected fatigue cracking. No serious injuries, but the aircraft caught fire and was damaged beyond repair.
