This aircraft has been a freighter for all of its life, which ended on May 8, 2013 at Wamena airport, when it caught fire on the ground unloading fuel drums. Flew with TNT Airways and Ansett Air Freight as VH-JJY in Australia, then as SE-DRN for West Air Europe in Scandinavia before heading to Indonesia in June of 2009.

Ex SE-DRN, registered 10th June 2009. The aircraft was destroyed by fire in WAJW (Wamena, Indonesia) 8th May 2013 whilst off-loading a cargo of oil drums.

Delivered new (Ex G-BOXD) 4th May 1989 in TNT livery, then repainted in Ansett livery Jan 1994. Stored at YMML (melbourne) June 2002-Dec 2005 and flown to the UK for onward sale. To SE-DRN 13th Oct 2006

VH-JJY sits in the pre-dawn twilight after arriving in the early hours from Brisbane and Sydney. Tragically that night, a Queen Air contracted to carry excess cargo from VH-JJY crashed claiming the life of the pilot. VH-JJY, which was owned by Ansett Transport Industries, was stored at Brisbane following the collapse of Ansett in 2001. It was ferried to the UK in 2005 and sold in Sweden as SE-DRN in 2006.
