Almost 40 years after arriving in Australia from Singapore as a spares source, VH-MKV was registered in 1997. For many years it was stored at Bankstown as VH-SDQ (ex VR-SDQ) but this registration was not taken up. The Miss Pepsi Cola livery dates back to then. More recently in RAF markings.

Built as an Auster Mk IV, MS939, during January 1944. Struck off charge from the RAF on 25 March 1948 and eventually civilianised as an Auster 5 registered as G-AJYP on 20 April 1950. Sold to Singapore in June 1952 and re-registered VR-SDQ. Sold to Australia in January 1959 but not initially re-registered. Eventually registered VH-MKV on 30 May 1997. Currently based at Ballarat.

A blurry photo of an aircraft that never was. It was built as a Mk4 but converted later to a Mk5. In 1959, this Auster was brought in from Singapore where it was VR-SDQ and named Miss Pepsi-Cola. It was intended to be used as a spares source but remained complete. In 1970 it was seen at Bankstown assembled and with the "R" in the registration changed to "H". But this registration was not taken up and it remained a hangar queen. It resurfaced in 1989 as a restoration project and in 1997 finally entered the register - as VH-MKY.
