Delivered to the RAF in Dec-1942 as LB381. It became civil as G-AHKO registered in Apr-1946. In Mar-1956 it was registered in Germany as D-ECOD. In Mar-1972 this was cancelled as withdrawn from use. In 1978 it was sold to Denmark and the registration OY-DSH was reserved. In May-1979 this was cancelled. It went on display in the Dansk Veteranflysamling. In May-1986 it was registered again as OY-DSH and started flying again. In Jun-2007 the museum changed name to Danmarks Flymuseum.

The Auster Mk.I, which entered service with the RAF as a light artillery observation and liaison aircraft in August 1942, was a two-seater. A three-seat cabin was introduced on the Auster Mk.IV. Over 1600 Austers of the wartime models were built.
