American Airline first operated this BAC 111 1966 - 69 (N5031). Outfitted as an executive jet in 1969 it carried later registrations N111FL, N5LC (and pictured here with James Stewart Lumber 1976 - 83), N401SK and N101PC. Stored at Atwater - Castle airport in Merced, CA in 2003, it was later scrapped.

This BAC 111 was built in 1966 and initially served with American Airlines as N5031 before conversion to executive status. It became N101PC and was stored at Castle Airport Atwater . Scanned from a slide.

This 1-11 was originally delivered to American as N5031 in June 1966 and flew with them until August 1969. It was then converted to have a VIP interor and was in use for sports teams, rock bands (as here shuttling Bon Jovi around Europe), etc., until finally being stored at Atwater/Merced Castle airport in California from March 2013 and eventually scrapped.

Bon Jovi used this classic as a transport during their 1995 European tour.

Delivered to American Airlines as N5031 in 1966. To Magnolia Homes as N111FL in 1969. Renamed Farmland Corp in 1970. To Stewart Lumber Corp in 1975 and reregistered as N5LC in 1976. To James Stewart in 1977, Lone Star Industries in 1984 (seen here with their logo on the fin) and Lukenbill Enterprises in 1989. Reregistered as N401SK in 1990. To Sky King Inc in 1998. Reregistered as N101PC in 2000. Withdrawn from use at Merced, CA by 2004. Still there in 2016.

I photographed this 1-11 at MUC back in 1995 shuffling Bon Jovi around Europe on a concert tour. Now I've shot her again after all this time stored at this California backwater. Incredible the reunions that this hobby brings about!
