FMS serial 83-1199 and Fokker built F-16A Block 15 (Fokker c/n L-209), was accepted by the Koninklijke Luchtmacht on 14 February 1986 and delivered on 17 Fwebruary 1986. The brand-new aircraft is seen here at Volkel. Its homebase was Twente air base in the east of the Netherlands. J-199 was eventually sold to Jordan as 247. It was flown over to Jordan in February 2018

The very last transatlantic crossing with Dutch F-16As. 312 Squadron was the last to covert to the F-16AM and this was about to start after they returned from Maple Flag in Canada. Because of the historic significance, all aircraft received full colour squadron markings prior of their departure from Goose Bay. A last minute request for a nice formation over Greenland was honoured, to much delight of all the passengers in the KDC-10! From front to back: J-199, J-617, J-870, J-871, J-877 and J-202.

On its route to possible Taliban targets over Afghanistan. The Royal Netherlands Air Force deployed four F-16AMs on a rotational basis to Afghanistan for some ten years. This J-199 is marked with an 311 sqn badge, this squadron was disbanded in September 2012.
