Delivered to the RAF as XS179 in 1963. Used as a ground trainer at Halton from 1973. Allocated maintenance serial was 8337M but painted as 8237M. To the University of Salford in 1993 then to the Museum of Science and Industry in 2003 and stored at Swinton and the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, Nantwich, Cheshire in 2013.

Previously serialled XS179, this 1963-vintage JP arrived at Halton for ground instructional duty in 1973. It was last reported as being delivered to Hack Green Nuclear Bunker, Cheshire in 2013.

With the pending closure of 1 SOTT at RAF Halton many airframes were parked outside waiting for the things to come. Former XS179 ended up in Manchester.
