After the merger of Pacific Western Airlines and Canadian Pacific Airlines (CP Air) in 1987, it took several years for a few of the aircraft in both airlines' fleets to be repainted. Awaiting major maintenance checks to do the job, the aircraft initially received new titles only.

Although fueling was in progress, I took the opportunity to photograph Zip's subtle seasonal decoration. Every October the Bee mascot on the nose would have a witch's hat and broom added to C-FCPO for Halloween.

Extremely scenic surroundings

After delivery to CP Air July 3, 1979, C-GCPO carried on through mergers to Canadian Airlines, Air Canada and finally in the original group of 737s transferred to Zip Air in September 2002. Withdrawn as Zip was absorbed back into Air Canada in September 2004, the aircraft was returned to Polaris Leasing, who owned it by this time and stored at Mojave, CA in October. Finally leased to Aero Condor Peru from November 2006 to February 2009 then returning to storage.
