One of the last F-104G's that have been built by Fokker at Schiphol. 95 units have been built for the Netherlands air force and have been delivered between 18 December 1962 and 20 May 1965. Scanned from a postcard.

After its crash in November 1978 D-8341 was used as a ground instruction air frame for future tug drivers. In 1981 major parts were used to prepare D-8279 as a gate guard.

Slide is part of my private collection. Picture was taken by Marinus Dirk Tabak. On November 21st, 1978, while landing together with collegue D-8098 at Wildenrath AB in Germany, this Starfighter collided with its forward cockpit section into the aft section of F-104G D-8098. The pilot of the D-8341 was tragically killed by this collision. It happened during a squadron exchange with RAF 19 Squadron at Wildenrath. The aircraft was declared written off and modified into a towing instruction airframe at Volkel Air Base.

Damaged beyond repair when it collided with D-8098 while landing at Wildenrath and later used for ground instruction. It was scrapped in the eighties.

This Starfighter was involved in a horrible collission with D-8098 at RAF Wildenrath during a squadron exchange. D-8098 landed while D-8341 was supposed to perform an overshoot. The latter hit the tailwing of its wingman that cut through the cockpit of D-8341, killing the pilot instantly. The airframe was stored at Volkel for many years before it was scrapped.
