Delivered to the US Army in March 1954, 53-2819 was assigned to the Texas National Guard around 1967. Registered N5317G circa 1975, the aircraft was with Willow Air Service when it crashed just west of the summit of Merrill Pass, AK on Sep 26, 1985 in poor weather. The wreck was registered to Lake Union Air Service in February 1989 as it was rebuilt. Re-registered N21LU, the floatplane written of when the wing struck a moored tug boat as it abandoned a take off on June 2, 1991. Rebuilt again, it flew with Northwest Seaplanes as N67683 until moving to Alaska as N726P in 1999.

Registered N3301F to Alabama Aviation & Tech College, Ozark, AL in August 1979, it was bought by Lake Union Air in 1989. Registered N23LU when rebuilt for civilian use, the aircraft was among the assets acquired by Kenmore Air in 1993 (registered N6782L). It was sold to Beaver Lodge LLC of Alaska in 2008. The aircraft is current with Seawing Aviation based at Ketchican, AK at the time of uploading.
