Moored at its home base dock on Willow Lake. Taken on charge new by the US Army in 1956 as 55-3487. Transferred to the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 1956 as S-3. Returned to US Army Europe in 1974. Joined Willow Air Service in 1988. Substantially damaged at McGrath, AK on 15 September 1988 while float equipped, when power loss required a forced landing on tundra. Pilot uninjured. Repaired and re-entered service with Willow Air.

Built in 1962, operated in Japan for twenty years. Joined Willow Air of Willow, Alaska, in 1982, where it provided transport for bear and moose hunting. Later converted to a Turbo Beaver by Viking in 2000. Seen here in the summer of 1990 at Willow Air's base on Willow Lake, just across the road from Willow Airport, on Alaska's George Parks Highway from Anchorage to Fairbanks, 70 miles north of Anchorage.
