Air Serv International is a nonprofit humanitarian organization that uses aircraft to fly relief workers and supplies to help victims of disasters in some of the most remote and challenging areas in the world. It flies where other air carriers cannot, or will not, fly.

This 1972 built, US registered (Air-Serv International, Warrenton, VA) Twin Otter served the UNHCR in Chad. The Twotter was once registered VP-FAQ and painted in an all red color scheme while serving the British Antarctic Survey. It also flew in Norway as LN-FKB. But since 1988 it was registered to Air Serve and flew quite along time through the African continent. In 2013 it returned to USA and was eventually sold to a Mexican (XT-UTK) operator but is now back to its birthing-grounds, Canada as C-FZDQ flying out of Calgery.

This 1978 Twin Otter served the United Nations in the Democratic Republic Congo (DRC) during 2007. Two years earlier, it was damaged during a bad landing at Akon, Sudan on 14 November 2005. Luckily, the robust aircraft was repaired and it continued its service over the African continent. Unfortunately, it did not survived a second crash, this time on 31 August 2007 when it fataly crashed near Punia (DRC).
