scan from the NK collection. - Air Calypso has operated this CL-44 for a few months only; the titles of its previous owner Airlift are still visible. In 1975 the freighter came onto the British register as G-BCWJ and flew for Tradewinds until a gear collapse incident at Nairobi on 06/JUL/78.

Originally Business Express N824BE before going to Air Calypso in Oct 97 as F-OHQF. The airline ceased operations in 2000 and the aircraft was repossessed by the owners (a bank) and stored at Opa Locka. For a while it remained in this special Air Calypso livery which promoted a local radio station on Guadeloupe. It eventually went to Deraya Air Taxi (Indonesia) in Nov 2004 as PK-DSS and to Pineapple Air (Bahamas) Aug 2017 as C6-BUS.

Delivered new to REAL as PP-YRJ in January 1958. Later served VARIG and Iberia. Operated for Air Calypso in Barbados as 8P-SUN and shown at OPF shortly after sale as N67053 in September 1975.
