Later delivered to the Pakistani Air Force as R4000. The only overseas operator of the type, Pakistan flew 36 between 1951 and 1958, although it is reported some may have remained in service as late as 1964. Flown by 11 Squadron, the type was replaced by F86F Sabres.

The Attacker was one of the aircraft that were rolled outside for the 1993 Yeovilton air show.

Here it is on display outside naval station HMS Sanderling, the wrought iron gates of which are half visible to the left.

The Attacker had been retired in 1956 and used here as a gate guardian and for air shows. It was acquired for the Fleet Air Arm Museum in 1961 and is now the sole surviving example.

The Attacker was the FAA's first jet fighter but suffered from deficiencies that led to it quickly being superseded, the main problem being that the tail wheel undercarriage made it difficult to land on aircraft carriers. This is the only surviving example and was built at South Marston factory in 1951. It served with 702 and 736 Naval Squadrons but was then displayed on a pole at RNAS Abbotsinch before being saved by the FAA Museum in 1961.

Built by Vickers-Armstrong at South Marston in August 1951. Served with 803 Squadron at RNAS Ford. Stored at RNAS Stretton and displayed at the 1955 open day. To training airframe as A2408 and SOC 01.59 at Arbroath.

The Rolls-Royce Nene-powered Attacker F.1 was the Royal Navy's first jet fighter. WA473 was delivered in 07.51 and served 800, 702 and 736 Squadrons of the FAA. Retired in 1956 and displayed at the gate of RNAS Abbotsinch before moving to the FAA Museum.

Attacker FB.2 of 1831 RNVR Squadron on finals to its base at RNAS Stretton, Cheshire, which closed in 1958. The unit operated Attackers from May 1955 until the unit was closed down in March 1957 together with all other naval reserve squadrons.

A rather primitive jet fighter, the Attacker still had taildragger landing gear.
