The date and details of this demonstration visit to Schiphol are easily found in the superb Dutch newspaper archive, Delpher. The superficial resemblance of the S.84 to the Douglas airliners was noted by the press but, with KLM having received its first DC-3 a few weeks earlier, its interest in this mixed-construction type was politely described as 'still loose of any perspective'.
