Delivered to Deutsche Lufthansa as DM-SAF in 1957. Later transferred to Interflug. Damaged in an emergency landing at Leipzig in 1967 and moved to Halle for preservation. Moved to Pulspforde in 1991, then to Technikmuseum Hugo Junkers, Dessau-Alten in 1999.

K25 slide scan. Built 1957 at Dresden as DM-SAF for Deutsche Lufthansa der DDR. Transferred to Interflug 1963. Damaged beyond repair 17 November 1967 Leipzig-Mockau during a hard landing on a training flight. Put on display at the City of Halle the following year. Dismantled after reunification and passed through the hands of several owners until being rescued by the Junkers Museum at Dessau where a full restoration took place.

Preserved in the "Kulturpark" near the Eissporthalle in Halle. It was put there after sustaining damage in an emergency landing at Leipzig in 1967. Shortly after this photo was made, this VEB-built Ilyushin was dismantled and transported to Pulspforde, followed by a move to the Hugo Junkers Museum in Dessau in 1999.
