The RAAF received two RAF B-29s for use during nuclear weapons testing in Australia. WW353, which was allocated the serial A76-1 (never applied), did most of the flying while WW354 (A76-2) was held in reserve. Both were scrapped, WW353 at Tocumwal, NSW, in 1962. It had been sold in 1956 for scrap by the RAF, which had taken back the aircraft. A private attempt in 1957 to sell it as a flyable aircraft came to nought. Designers squeezed a cockpit into the space intended as an engine intake on the Jindivik target drone to create a piloted test aircraft. C-1 was lost in an accident and the second Pika, C-2, is preserved.

This was the first two Pikas that were manned aerodynamic test aircraft for the Jindivik drone. C-1, which was also A93-1, was written off on April 5, 1951 in forced landing due to compressor stall. A second Pika, C-2/A93-2, is preserved at the RAAF Museum. The Pika used small side engine intakes with the pilot sitting in what would be the intake area of the drone.

The only RAAF Dakota to wear this livery which it shared with an RAF Dakota KJ881 based at Woomera. Livery is all white airframe, Oxford blue stripe and dayglo panels on the nose, tail and wing tips. Reverted to standard silver finish. 2 Air Trials Unit operated in support of the Weapons Research Establishment at Woomera.

Broken up for spares in 1957.
