About half way through a circumnavigation of Australia that started and ended at Point Cook and went anticlockwise. Due to its historical significance, A10-3 was offered to various institutions between 1928 and 1930. With no takers, it was stored at Sydney's Victorian Barracks. Its fate after that is not recorded.

VP-22's original 22-P-10, serial 0875, was destroyed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. 2301 was damaged in the same raid but was repaired and flew to the Netherlands East Indies with VP-22. The squadron set up at Ambon Bay where it came under immediate Japanese attack. 2301 was sunk at its moorings on January 15, 1942. VP-22's three surviving PBYs relocated to Darwin and then to Perth. Most of its personnel then returned to the US and squadron was disbanded. Photo from: Library and Archives NT

Blown on to the shore during a storm on December 11, 1938. Dismantled and shipped back the UK for repairs. Swapped with an aircraft from the Imperial Airways fleet and became G-AEUI after being repaired. Remained in service with Imperial until 1947 when it was scrapped. Coorong is a lagoon in South Australia. Qantas retained Imperial's "C" Class naming conventions for its S.23 fleet. Photo from: Hudson Fysh Collection/State Library of New South Wales
